MY SCOUTING BACKGROUND

My involvement in scouting goes back to 1973 when I was eight when I joined Cubs in New Zealand (there was no such thing as Beavers or Keas as they are called in New Zealand at this time). I the moved on to Scouts where I gained my Chief Scouts Award and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award. After Scouts it was on to Ventures where I gained the Queens Scout and Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Here ended my time as a youth member of the movement, now my time as a leader began
